Everybody knows we should sleep at least 7 hours at night, but sometimes, we just simply can’t fall asleep for a different reasons (this article will help you fall asleep faster). If your brain is not getting enough energy from sleeping than it will try to get if from food. When you’re not sleeping properly you tend to eat more of what you’re craving because you’re not feeling the signals to stop eating. So, if you are trying to have a fit body, don’t forget to sleep enough.

Lack of sleep will make you forget stuff easier! Researchers have proven that sleeping has impact your memory and learning skills! We need proper rest to “lock” the informations we received in our memory. So if you are having an exam the next day, make sure you get enough sleep.

Getting sick

As we said, sleeping is crucial for our body. Not getting enough sleep will make your immune system suffer! This means, you can get sick easily because our body can’t “fight” back. Researchers found that people who got less than seven hours of sleep were nearly three times as likely to develop a cold than those who got eight hours or more rest a night.

Cancer risk

Lack of sleep also increases chances of getting cancer! Overnight shift workers may take the brunt of this burden. This is the biggest reason you should fix your sleeping schedule ASAP!

In one study, a group of people between 30 and 50 years were evaluated based only on their sleeping habits. The results revealed that the people who were getting less sleep had more lines, wrinkles and uneven skin color. Also, these people were unsatisfied from their look! So, if you want to stay looking younger for more years, take care of your sleeping schedule.
